Pick one team to win, every week. Lose once and you're out. Last one standing takes it.
Each entry picks one NFL team each week to win its game. A win advances you; a loss or tie eliminates you. Once you use a team, you can't select it again for the rest of the competition. The pool continues until a winner is determined.
You can buy as many entries as you'd like. Each entry has its own independent selection history — a team used on one of your entries can still be used on another, and one entry getting eliminated doesn't affect your others. Entry fees are due by the announced deadline.
Submit one eligible team for each active entry before that week's deadline. Once the deadline passes, picks are final. It's on you to confirm your pick went through, is correct, and hasn't already been used — the commissioner isn't responsible for missed or incorrect submissions.
Picks are due before that week's games start. If your team plays earlier than the normal weekly deadline (Thursday, international games, etc.), your pick is due before that specific kickoff. Once your team's game starts, your pick is locked.
Early games are fair game to pick, but that pick is due before that game's kickoff — picking an early game doesn't force anyone else to submit early.
No pick submitted before the deadline = that entry is eliminated. There are no automatic or default picks.
Each team can only be used once per entry, for the whole season — regardless of whether that pick won or lost. This includes picks made during a week that later gets reinstated under the No Survivors Rule.
Only the official final result matters — win, lose, or tie (a tie counts as a loss). Point spreads, odds, overtime, and stats don't factor in.
If a selected game is postponed, suspended, or canceled, the commissioner decides how it's handled based on the situation and the NFL's ruling. If possible, you'll be allowed to change your pick if it's still before the deadline. Anything unusual not covered here gets resolved by the commissioner in the interest of fairness.
If every remaining entry is eliminated in the same week, everyone who was alive at the start of that week is reinstated and the pool continues into the next week. Important: the teams picked during that wipeout week are still considered used going forward.
The pool ends when exactly one entry is left standing after a week completes. If more than one is still alive, the pool continues. If zero are alive, the No Survivors Rule kicks in.
If multiple entries are still alive after the last regular season week, the pool continues into the playoffs, with survivors picking one new eligible team per playoff round. Previously used teams stay unavailable. If continued play isn't possible, the remaining pool is split evenly among survivors unless otherwise announced beforehand.
You're responsible for tracking NFL schedule changes. A schedule change doesn't automatically move your deadline unless it's announced.
To keep things fair, picks may stay hidden until that week's deadline passes, after which they (and pool stats like pick percentages) become visible to everyone.
No limit on how many entries can pick the same team in a given week — every entry competes independently.
The prize pool is made up of collected entry fees. Unless otherwise announced, it's winner-take-all. If the rules require splitting the prize among multiple survivors, it's split evenly.
Once you're out, you're out — no buybacks or replacement entries, unless the No Survivors Rule specifically brings you back, or a different format was announced before Week 1.
Confirm your pick went through — that's on you. If there's a verified technical issue that blocked a submission, the commissioner may take reasonable corrective action, and evidence (texts, screenshots, etc.) of an on-time attempt may be considered. Claims made after a game's outcome is already known get extra scrutiny.
Results are based on the NFL's official outcome. Later stat corrections that don't change who won have no effect on the pool.
The commissioner has final say on rule interpretation, technical issues, schedule changes, disputed picks, and anything not specifically covered here — rulings should stay consistent and fair. Core rules won't materially change once the season's started.
